Management and Supervision of Railway Lines

This is one of the most significant projects that duagon's Engineering Services is involved in. It is a railway-line operating system based on ATS, a software solution currently implemented on some of the major railway lines worldwide. Using the SCRUM methodology, it is continuously adapting to current functional and safety requirements through the latest technologies.

This software provides a set of tools for railway operators to manage all types of railway lines—high-speed, subway, commuter, etc. It is adaptable to any railway line, making it fully configurable and versatile.

It supports operational supervision through schematics, alarms, events, operating history, and TSR management (time speed restrictions). It also supports ERTMS levels 1 and 2, ASFA, CBTC (including GoA4), and incorporates an automatic train regulation environment. This allows configuration of the line so trains can operate in automatic regulation mode, where the driver only opens and closes the train doors.

In addition to managing railway lines, this system for Regulation and Control Centers is ready to operate in Hot-Standby mode, where a backup instance of the software is available if the active one fails. The system is also evolving with new technologies to achieve robust, reliable, and modern software.

Countries: Singapore, Brazil, Thailand, Spain, Turkey
Sector: Management and Supervision of Railway Lines

Projects:

Madrid Metro

The signalling of 32 stations on Line 5 has been renewed, along with all the software, increasing line capacity by almost 50%. Additionally, automatic train regulation has been enhanced to be more reliable and effective during operation.

Barcelona Metro

Energy consumption has been reduced by 15–20% thanks to the ATO signalling system, implemented on Lines 2 and 5. This results in better service for the company’s customers

Singapore Metro

Singapore's Downtown Line, over 40 km with 34 stations, connects the east and northwest areas with the city center. This line operates with automatic control systems, enabling automatic train operation. Along with the electronic interlocking system and automatic monitoring system, the railway operating system achieves significant savings in time and costs during commissioning.

Turkey (Marmaray)

Marmaray features the first underwater rail tunnel connecting two continents. This 76 km line, including 14 km under the Bosphorus, is equipped with ERTMS and CBTC systems. It currently provides a combined commuter and metro service for the metropolitan area, benefiting over 200,000 travelers daily.

Brazil (São Paulo Metro)

The São Paulo Metro, with a maximum daily influx of around 9 million passengers, operates driverless trains. The automatic monitoring system is also managed by this software, enabling safe operation and reducing journey times up to fivefold. Additionally, this technology increases energy efficiency.
